Burwood-Pegasus Ward By-election 2012 - voting progress
The CCC has an excellent web page showing what percentage of voting papers have been returned for the Burwood-Pegasus Ward By-election 2012.
As at 8.30 last night 7,057 out of nearly 40,00 ballot papers had been returned. That means 17.74% have sent in their votes so far. This is well ahead of the same time in the council elections for 2010 when 11.2% of voting papers had been returned.
Despite the apparent disarray amongst current councillors, and widely voiced dissatisfaction with the way the council is led and conducts itself, faith in the system itself has certainly not been lost.
